What's New for 2025: Shop Updates & Creative Plans

Hello everyone!

2025 came in with a bang, and with it, some exciting changes for both my personal life and my handcrafted jewelry business. I wanted to share what's happening and how you can stay connected this year.

Shifting Focus: From Shows to Online

This year, I'm dedicating more time at home with my husband while focusing primarily on my online business. I've just updated my website to the newest version of Ecwid, which offers improved features that will make your shopping experience more seamless.

What's Coming Up

Here's what you can expect from me this year:

• In-Studio Workshops: Starting this spring, I'll be opening my Vancouver Island studio for small metalworking classes. These hands-on sessions will teach techniques I ofTen get asked how I do it.
• YouTube Channel: I'll be sharing technique demonstrations and tools I use. This won't be full tutorials but will give you a look at some of my processes.
• Social Media: I'll be posting on Instagram and Facebook, primarily showing pieces that are available for purchase or coming to the shop soon.
• Pinterest: I'll continue using Pinterest as another way to showcase my available jewelry and direct traffic to my shop.

Moving Beyond Etsy

While I'll maintain my Etsy presence, I'm gradually working toward refocusing my energy to my website as my primary sales channel. By subscribing to my mailing list, you'll get 24-hour early access to sales and workshops before they're announced publicly.

New Techniques for 2025

I'm excited to expand on enameling this year using my kiln and torch, particularly sgraffito techniques. This method involves scratching through a layer of enamel to reveal the metal or different colored enamel underneath, creating intricate designs and textures. It is truly rewarding process and a great way of adding color to metal.
